I take pictures with my phone while they are in progress, whether to remember where I was when I have to put it down for a while, or to give a status update, but then send them right off to the recipient because I'm just so excited that it is completed and ready to go home.

My coworkers are not entirely sure what to make of my "old lady" hobby, but they certainly enjoy the benefits of having a craftsy person come holiday season and are often curious about how much work actually goes into a quilt. This quilt was a lap quilt for my now-boss, and was meant to be a Christmas present. Ah, the best laid plans! My husband and I spent three weeks overseas visiting my sister, and then moved within a week, and quilting definitely fell down on the priority list. He ended up getting it in June; better late than never, right?!

Any guesses as to what his favorite movie is?
